must see and do
Sandwick Beach,
Easting
I think all the beaches in Unst are beautiful but I am particularly fond
of the Easting beach. A number of years ago, we spent a family
holiday staying near the Easting beach and were lucky enough to share
the beach with a family otters. It was fascinating watching Mum bring
her cubs up and down the beach to and from the sea.
Spencies Tunes -
Commission Your Very Own Tune!
Why not
remember your stay in Unst by commissioning Steven Spence to compose you
a tune? Over the years, Steven Spence has become one of Shetland's most
renowned and prolific composers of tunes in the Shetland idiom.
His work is becoming increasingly popular and he is being commissioned
to compose tunes for special occasions such as weddings,
anniversaries, birthdays and retirements.
Foord's
Chocolate Workshop and Tearoom
If
you like chocolate, you'll love Foord's! In Unst, we have our very own
chocolatier who makes the most delicious selection of truffles, pralines
and caramels! Just the thing to accompany your glass of wine! We were in
Unst (October 2006) for my cousin Stewart's Haemfarin and took a trip
over to the chocolate workshop and cafe. We had a lovely cup of coffee
and a scone. We didn't leave without making several purchases!
